UCA-NI (Ulster Chemists’ Association Northern Ireland) is the local membership body for community pharmacy and pharmacists across NI. Its core role is to support, represent and keep pharmacy teams connected, acting as a clear voice for the sector while helping pharmacies navigate daily pressures and longer-term change.
UCA-NI works closely with its events & publishing partner, PharmacyShows, to deliver the Pharmacy in Focus magazine & diary plus our flagship event, the NI Pharmacy in Focus Awards ceremony to celebrate excellence and share best practice across the profession.
On workforce and development, UCA-NI provides training programmes for community pharmacy teams, including a Community Pharmacy Management Programme for Foundation Trainees and vaccination training, tailored to NI practice. They also support pharmacies with governance needs such as AccessNI processes via their umbrella-body service.
Alongside this, UCA-NI champions pharmacy to the public through health campaigns and partnerships with bodies like the Public Health Agency, helping pharmacies deliver high-impact care close to home.
